The Close at Heart Fund is a charitable fund of the Medical College of Virginia Foundation 501 (3)(c), established to celebrate the human-animal bond. The fund provides individuals with an opportunity to pay tribute to living or deceased pets, pet owners, veterinarians, breeders, or other persons who define their lives by a love of animals.

Names of Honorees are placed in our Close at Heart Tribute Book that remains on display in our reception area. Donations of $1,000 or more are recognized with the Honoree's name engraved on our Center Honor Roll plaque displayed in our reception area. Letters are sent informing honorees or designated persons of donations made.
