General Assembly Welcomes Dogs On Call

The Center for Human-Animal Interaction staff and Dogs On Call teams visited The Virginia State Legislature. Teams were introduced on The Senate floor and participated in a Meet and Greet with lawmakers and staff. Senator Walter Stosch and his legislative director, Karla Boughey, were honored with placques in appreciation of their support of The Center for Human-Animal Interaction.

8 Dogs On Call therapy dogs are in the Virginia General Assembly along with their handlers. There is a yellow lab, three golden retrievers, a leonberger, a maltese, a yorkie and a black lab.
