The Dogs On Call Program enhances the well being of patients and staff through in-hospital visitation by trained and certified dog-handler teams from the community.

AAT (animal assisted therapy) and AAA (animal assisted activity) visits are scheduled with the cooperation of physicians, staff, patients and family through the Center for Human-Animal Interaction and the
VCU Medical Center Volunteer Office.
